Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I turn in prayer concerns?
A:
Prayer concerns can be turned in to the church office via email at any time during the week. You may also submit them on Sunday mornings by tearing off the bulletin insert for concerns and placing it in the offering plate. A list of the current prayer concerns is included in the monthly newsletter that can be viewed from this site.

Q: What is the difference between a United Methodist and some other Christian belief?
A: We believe God is our Creator and God sent Jesus to die for our sins and was then resurrected on the third day. Our faith in Jesus Christ is what makes us Christian. As United Methodists, we believe in free will, which means each person has the freedom to choose to follow Jesus or not follow Jesus.
United Methodists and other Christian churches have many of the same beliefs, but we all have different things we emphasize. We emphasize that God's love is for all people and He wants a relationship with each of us. Holy Communion is open to everyone who sincerely desires a relationship with God. Our church government links all United Methodist churches together as one denomination, with bishops acting as leaders over certain territories. Our bishop is over the state of Indiana.
